In April of 2020, String and Shadow Puppet Theater devised a short puppet show to bring to quarantined households during the Covid-19 shut-down. This traveling show, which lasts about 10 minutes, features two lizards from outer-space who have been quarantined on Earth. Appearing on street corners, in public parks, in driveways, gardens, backyards, and cul-de-sacs, String & Shadow performed this show hundreds of times throughout the spring of 2020, bringing joy to the young and elderly in the safety of their homes.

 

Though rainy weather has kept these sun-loving lizards inside, they plan to return to the friendly streets of Olympia when conditions permit. All of these performances are by donation, in the belief that the arts should be accessible to all, especially in this time of uncertainty. We are grateful for the enthusiasm and generosity of the Olympia community for supporting this effort.
