String and Shadow Puppet Theater presents their 5th annual giant puppet show, Or So It Would Seam: a Giant Puppet Voyage into the Hidden Universe. Equal parts whimsical fairy tale, outer-space odyssey, and slap-stick clown show, the story follows Space-Way Assistance Driver Captain Z (think, tow-truck driver in outer-space) as a mysterious distress signal prompts him to enter a mystical dimension. Between interdimensional subway cars, expanding black-holes, and giants who weave the fabric of space-time, Or So It Would Seam will take audiences out of this galaxy to contemplate the intricate and unexpected ways we are all connected to one another. Filled to the brim with giant puppets, original storytelling, and live music, Or So features a cast of 13 performers/musicians - and you, the audience!

It's a large park so there is space for everyone. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Arrive early to get a spot close to the front!
For 6:30pm shows, all seating will all be in the shade. For 2:30pm shows, the audience will get partial shade, so you may wish to bring a hat.
If you contributed to our KICKSTARTER fundraiser at the "ticket" level, we will have your name on a list at the door for all of the Olympia shows. Just show up and redeem your ticket (*and t-shirt if you got one) at any show you choose.
ACCESSIBILITY: There are paved pathways leading into the park from multiple directions. We will be performing at the bottom of the hill to the west of the playground. There is a paved pathway that takes you directly to where we are performing from the South park entrance. If you prefer to sit at the top of the hill, we recommend entering from the main park entrance by playground.
